Your role as senior mechanical design engineer
As Senior Mechanical Design engineer at Kalpana Systems, you will be responsible for designing mechanical sub-systems for our prototype and subsequent commercial systems. These subsystems involve high-precision positioning of components in a heated atmospheric environment. In this role, you will be reporting to our Development Manager. As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you are part of a high-tech start-up with great growth potential from the early stages!

Tasks as a senior mechanical design engineer
- Assessment and review of subsystem requirement specifications
- Delivering subsystem concepts which include assessment of manufacturability, maintainability, safety and costs
- Delivering detail designs in CAD including commissioning documentation, manufacturing and assembly instructions
- Collection and analysis of measurement data from prototype testing
- Concise and comprehensive status reporting
- Offer technical advice in the design of other subsystem
What we are looking for
- Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- Experienced in working with CAD applications, preferably SolidWorks
- At least 8 years of experience with a proven track record in mechanical design
- Experience with high-precision positioning systems in a heated atmospheric environment is an advantage
